Why My Boyfriend's Hair Keep Falling Off?

A few months ago, my boyfriend's hair was short. But when it grew, his hair started falling off everytime he combs it in the shower. When it's dry, it doesn't fall off so easily, but when he wets it, a lot of his hair falls off. His hair is only an inch from his shoulder. Now, he's thinking of cutting it. What's up with his hair??

Get it checkout out. Maybe it could be early balding. Tell him to stop combing it in the shower then!

See a dermotologist(skin doctor)

Its health to lose hair. When it stops falling out he will loose it.

Is it summer there? Maybe he's just shedding? Got to close to a nuclear plant?

Why My Boyfriend's Hair Keep Falling Off?

Well we all lose a certain amount of hair every day. But then again, your boyfriend could be going pre-maturely bald.

He probably just notices it more now that its long. Losing about 100 hairs a day is normal.

If he wears his hair back alot then it might be the cause.

There are shampoos (Nioxin) that he can use that will stop it from falling out. It won't regrow it, but if he isn't balding then it will grow back on its own anyway

Why My Boyfriend's Hair Keep Falling Off?

Most likely your guy's hair would fall out when dry anyway, it prob gets a lil tangled when dry and the friction between hair shafts is just enough to keep hair from falling away, if it's already disconnected from his scalp, but the water/shampoo/conditioner gets rid of that friction and so the individual hairs can just fall away, so he'd notice it more then. First, don't comb your hair with anything but fingers when it's wet, it's most fragile then and can easily be broken or tugged around. How's his diet? Has he always had not so healthy hair? Maybe your guy's hair was short before because he has always had problems with it and so it was easier to manage and less noticable when it was short, and if it's always been falling out, then he's hardly likely to really take too much notice of stray falling hairs if they're short anyway, he wouldn't see them. Go to a dermatologist to make sure that it's got nothing to do with his scalp, and mention his diet to the derm, and ask your guy about his hair history, work out whether his hair was completely healthy before he cut it short or not, if not then maybe this has been going on for a very long time.
