s there anyway to straighten out african americam hair without a relaxer or straightening comb? i have relaxed hair but i havent had the time to got get a touch up and the new growth is very thick, i need to know what if anything i can do with it to make it more manageable until i can get it done again which wont be for about 3 more weeks. by the way i have been due for one since the beginning of dec.

I have natural hair which I wear straight often; I use a Chi iron. You can find these at JC Penny salons, or Ulta stores. This iron can be a little pricey, so you may want to look into a ceramic iron (flat iron). Ulta has some at the following link

I would never suggest hot combing your hair, it's very damaging.

yaaa.. u can use a gilesreen cream its color is yellowish and the cover is black..you can use also sunsilk seven oils, its really great..

and every night its better if you gyrate your hair around those small tools i don't know what its called but it used to make a hair curly..for African American hair it doesn't make it very curly..it gives it the smoothly and manageable look.
