When teasing your hair do you comb through all the knots?

i can tease my hair into a big mess but when i got to make it look right on top instead of having a big rats nest.. it untangles all the knots and basically goes back to normal...

how can i prevent this?

When teasing your hair do you comb through all the knots?

try to only smooth out the very top. try to spray your hair with hairspray first then tease, than smooth out the top. this will make it hold a little better.

When teasing your hair do you comb through all the knots?

For example, if you are say teasing the crown area for a hump: Take some of the crown section and clip it to the side. Tease the rest, a section at a time and spray it, take the clipped section and lay it over the teased section, fix it until you are satified that the teased section is hidden and spray it. This will give you the volume and alleviate any fear that your hear looks like a backcombed rats nest. People won't even know that the hair is teased. Hope that helps!!!
