i heard that using hot comb/pressing hair can make thick hair more manageable and is better than hair straightner for african american hair. What do you actually do when you press hair and what products should be used. Someone please give instructions/explanation
Pressing hair???
The best thing to do, is to get the good ceramic flat iron from Sally's (no Wal-Mart Flat iron). Jilbere' is a good brand to use. Get a heat protector cream, and apply to your dry hair. Then use flat iron....yes...it works miracles.
After awhile, it will break your hair off, if you do it every day.....I eventually just corn row braided her hair, and put in her extensions myself. Her hair grows better that way, then the human hair extensions are so much easier, and better for her hair.
Pressing hair???
i think that is good advice for someone who is biracial. if you are black a hot comb is better gold and hot is really good. you apply pressing creme to the hair and grese to the scalp. then you just run the comb through the hair a few times then some people flat iron it for extra straighness. Report It
Pressing hair???
i wrap it every night since i get it done every two weeks the 2nd week around i grease it with mimoso honey by carols daughters which makes it slick n' shiny. Report It
Pressing hair???
Well, i am 17 years old, african american, with REALLY thick and long hair and i have never gotten a perm. . . i always get my hair pressed. it takes up more time because you cant get it wet or use any wet products. . . but when i get my hair pressed i use 4 way shampoo and grease, but i use protein pan-v- shampoo for women of color. . . but you also have to know someone who knows how to press and not someone who just wants to play in your hair
Pressing hair???
if you do that alot you will burn you hair and damage it so you can do it every few weeks but not to much..
